The birth of Jesus Christ

The birth of Jesus Christ
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Be of good cheer this day! And give glory to the name of Jesus.

May God bless you and keep during the coming year. Amen!

Obama delays moving US embassy to Jerusalem

Obama delays moving US embassy to Jerusalem

There was in China Daily on President Obama's waffling on moving US embassy to Jerusalem. This is of particular interest in the wake the EU's bid to split Jerusalem. Of course I don't want to put the onus strictly on President Obama, because Presidents Bush and Clinton didn't what to do with it either. But he's been waffling on entirely too many issues, of late. It seems like the only
things he's firm on is putting us in the poor house, without a blanket or a pillow.

Obama delays moving US embassy to Jerusalem
US President Barack Obama ordered Thursday to delay moving the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

"It is necessary, in order to protect the national security interests of the United States, to suspend for a period of six months the limitations" set forth in the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, said the president in a statement.

Obama had delayed to move the embassy to Jerusalem for six months in June.

The Jerusalem Embassy Act, which was passed by the US Congress in 1995, states that Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of Israel and that the US embassy should be established in Jerusalem no later than May 31, 1999.

EU: Let's ensure division of Jerusalem

There was An article in the Jerusalem Post that makes some interesting reading.
The Bible says that the latter days, Jerusalem would a burdensome stone.

Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for
all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though
all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

And it looks like the stage is being set for that sooner rather than later. But
let the author tell it:

EU: Let's ensure division of Jerusalem
European leaders plan to publicly demand next week that Israel's capital be cut
in two, to be divided between the Jewish state and the non-existent state of
"Palestine."

The EU will issue its call newly empowered by the Lisbon Treaty, which came into
affect Tuesday, and which Europeans regard as placing them on a par with the
United States.

While the Palestinian Arabs have never had a state, Jerusalem became the capital
of the Jewish people in approximately 1000 BC. In the three millennia since, no
other nation has designated the city as their capital.

Nonetheless the EU, along with the rest of the international community, is
keeping relentless pressure on the Israeli government to give the Arabs
sovereignty over half the city.

And over half their historic land.

According to reports running in the Israeli press Tuesday and Wednesday, a
Swedish-drafted statement will be read out on December 7 after approval by the
EU Commission. It will be the "first official EU articulation of a solution" for
the issue of Jerusalem in the Middle East peace process.

Ha'aretz reported that the draft "refers directly to the situation in East
Jerusalem, calling on 'all parties to refrain from provocative actions' and
stating the EU Council 'has never recognized the annexation of East Jerusalem.
If there is to be a genuine peace, a way must be found to resolve the status of
Jerusalem as capital of two states. The Council calls for the reopening of
Palestinian institutions in Jerusalem in accordance with the road map. It also
calls on the Israeli government to cease all discriminatory treatment of
Palestinians in East Jerusalem.'"

The statement furthermore applauds Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam
Fayyad's proposal of a unilateral declaration of statehood, and commits the EU
to "at the appropriate time, recognize a Palestinian state."

Israeli officials have slammed the EU for ITS provocative meddling.

But Europe is resolved to interfere in a way it believes will intimidate Israel
into wilting under the pressure.

Measures recommended include:

Ensuring an EU presence at Israeli court cases on house demolitions or evictions
of Palestinian families and where there is a risk of demolition or eviction of
Arab families.

Holding EU celebrations, commemorations and national or Europe day events in
"East" Jerusalem.

Iran atom plant

Report: Russia vows quick completion of Iran atom plant

The YNetNews website is reporting that Russia has suddenly changed political course and vows to "quickly" complete Iran's first nuclear power plant at Bushehr.

Russia's energy minister pledged on Sunday a quick completion of Iran's first nuclear power station, Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reported, weeks after Moscow announced the latest delay to the Bushehr plant.

The reported statement, which did not give a specific time for the launch of Bushehr, came as Iran's government announced plans to build 10 new uranium enrichment plants, in a major expansion of its disputed nuclear program. (Reuters)

It looks like the President's policy of appeasement and supplication is not working. Both Russia and Iran are pushing hard for a start-up date in a scant four months. I remember a few months ago when the power that be in the US said it would be at least 10 years. I wonder if they have adjusted their time tables, and their attitudes....

I also read it YNetNews that Russia is fulfilling their contractual obligations for delivering the advanced S-300 anti-aircraft missile defense system; something the US pressured Russia not to do. Plus a Jerusalem Post article brought to light Iran's approved plans to build an additional 10 uranium enrichment facilities. The Jerusalem Post article reports:

The US ambassador to the United Nations on Monday called Iran's plans to build an additional 10 uranium enrichment plants "unacceptable," warning they could bring increased international pressure on Teheran.

But the US and the international community have, so far, not lifted a finger to stop the Iranians or the Russians.

For Israel, and by extension, the world, this is ominous news. If you are saved by the blood of Jesus, get ready. He's coming! If you not saved, get saved. Otherwise, get really...

Miranda Rights for Terrorists

Miranda Rights for Terrorists
I reckon you have heard about this, by now, though the mainstream media has paid pay it scant attention.
The bible says a man is know by the company he keep, and the things he does.

A quick recap from the Houston Examiner:
The Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan, according a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee. “The administration has decided to change the focus to law enforcement. Here’s the problem. You have foreign fighters who are targeting US troops today – foreign fighters who go to another country to kill Americans. We capture them…and they’re reading them their rights – Mirandizing these foreign fighters,” says Representative Mike Rogers, who recently met with military, intelligence and law enforcement officials on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan. ..

Miranda warnings are NOT required by international law for anyone, much less enemy combatants who do not follow the rules of war. Most countries not only do not require such warnings, but regard them as being at odds with the goal of getting at the truth. Miranda warnings are not a requirement of customary international law or international human-rights law (unlike torture, which is clearly banned by treaties like the Convention Against Torture).

You don’t get Miranda-like warnings even in many European countries. (The word Miranda refers to Miranda v. Arizona, a controversial 5-to-4 U.S. Supreme Court decision in 1966 that for the first time mandated such warnings). Even in countries that do have similar warnings, they are generally mandated only by statute or the common law, not by the country’s constitution, and thus can be rescinded at the will of the national legislature (and thus can hardly be deemed to be a universal or inalienable “human right”). French anti-terror laws are much tougher than U.S. laws like the Patriot Act.
And captured foreign fighters are neither U.S. citizens nor on American soil at the time of their capture and interrogation, so the U.S. Constitution gives them no right to Miranda warnings, either.

You might remember a flash back from September 8, 2008, which is on Youtube if you care to watch it, where the President smirked and sneered at Sarah Palin and the whole idea that he would do something like this.

...And two months after his Inauguration, President Obama reiterated, "Now, do these folks deserve miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like a shoplifter down the block? Of course not."

So much for the smirk and sarcasm. I guess the joke's on us.

In fact, it was Sarah Palin who said at the GOP convention: "Al Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America, and he's worried that someone won't read them their rights."

This is extraordinarily stupid. As Obama himself once recognized, foreign terrorists do not have Miranda rights.

Now get mad at me. I am only echoing the President's message when he called the policeman's judgment into question during the infamous Hampton Wisconsin professor incident. And, when that was over, he invited the professor and policeman to the White House for a beer. Maybe he can do that with the terrorist. Oh, wait! I heard that Muslims don't beer.

AARP puts 'political self-interests' above members

AARP puts 'political self-interests' above members
Some senior citizens are dropping their membership with the AARP following the group's decision to endorse a new government health insurance program.
So says Jim Brown and Jody Brown of OneNewsNow...
Last week the American Medical Association and the AARP both endorsed the Democrats' House healthcare bill. AARP executive vice president Nancy LeaMond says the bill "meets our priorities for protecting Medicare, providing more affordable insurance for 50 to 64-year-olds, and reforming our healthcare system."
I have read and heard about members of the AMA who are voicing strong opposition to this bill, and from what I hear, the membership of AARP are up in arms about, too.
Stuart Barton, president of the merican Seniors Association, an alternative to the AARP, believes the AARP supports the bill because it will make money off the legislation -- not because it will improve the health and wealth of seniors.
"The AARP has received over $2 billion in grants from the federal government over the past 15 or 20 years, and most people don't know that," Barton reports...
...The ASA president is not alone in his criticism of the AARP and its endorsement of government-run healthcare insurance. According to The Washington Post, three House Republicans have accused the AARP of putting its "political self-interests" ahead of seniors. Those lawmakers point to the organization's thriving business in marketing branded Medigap policies -- the demand for which is expected to increase as a result of Democratic proposals to slash reimbursements for Medicare Advantage...
This on the heels of the White House gag order on other insurance companies that were attempting to get the information to the public.
The report also notes that Republicans on Capitol Hill question the high salaries of some top AARP executives, who would not be subject to limits on insurance executives' pay included in the Senate Finance Committee's healthcare reform package. "AARP is lobbying for a government-run healthcare bill that will pad their own executives' pockets at the expense of its own members and other vulnerable seniors," a House Republican spokesman told the Post.
I have really lost respect for the AMA and AAPA in recent years, and our government is marching to a different drummer. Increasingly, the politico, bureaucracy, and executives are following the money and leaving "we the people" to pick up the crumbs. But is leading to "unintended consequences". Arrogance and greed make restless bed partners, and the bed bugs are hungry...

Russia to launch Iran's Bushehr power plant

I believe this accelerates Isreal's time line to attack Iran. The window is closing fast. Israel must hit the reactor before it goes hot. Eight weeks and counting...

Russia to launch Iran's Bushehr power plant

TEHRAN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) - Iran's ambassador to Moscow Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi said Tuesday that Russians will launch Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant soon, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Russians are not at all dubious about completing Iran's first nuclear power plant in the southern city of Bushehr, Sajjadi was quoted as saying.
"The two sides (both Russians and Iranians) have mobilized their human resources even beyond the specified plans," he told Fars news agency.

Russians intend to put Bushehr nuclear plant into operation by the end of 2009, and there are several tests which should be conducted on the plant before it can go online, he said, adding that "previous tests have been successful and there have just remained two more tests to be carried out" before the plant can start operation.

China-US to build W Texas wind farm

China-US to build W Texas wind farm
A month or two ago, I saw President Obama doing one of those onfomertials/campaign blurg that we are going to create jobs, manufacturer wind turbine at home, and get the economy moving again. I wonder what loan guarantees and cash grants to US government is giving China. With trillions of dollars vanishing from the US Treasury and trillions of dollars of debt, how much of State of Texas was pledged as collateral this?
China-US to build W Texas wind farm
A consortium of Chinese and American companies announced a joint venture on Thursday to build a 600-megawatt wind farm in West Texas, using turbines made in China.

Construction of the $1.5 billion wind farm will be financed largely by Chinese banks, with the help of loan guarantees and cash grants from the United States government.

“This wind farm project came about thanks to the openness of the United States for investments in the field of renewable energy,” said John S. Lin, chief operating officer of A-Power Energy Generation Systems, which is part of the consortium building the project.

The wind farm will be the first instance of a Chinese manufacturer exporting wind turbines to the United States, said Yang Yazhou, vice mayor of the city of Shenyang, where the wind turbines will be manufactured.

The farm, to be built on 36,000 acres in West Texas, will use 240 of its 2.5-megawatt turbines. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2010, and the project is expected to create 300 temporary jobs and about 30 permanent jobs. Six hundred megawatts of wind power is enough to meet the electricity needs of between 135,000 and 180,000 American homes for a year.

Other partners include the U.S. Renewable Energy Group, an investment firm, and a wind-farm developer, Cielo Wind Power of Austin, Tex.

Brown and Sarkozy rowed with Obama

Brown and Sarkozy rowed with Obama

The telegraph.co.uk reported
Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy had a behind-the-scenes row with Barack Obama over last week's announcement about a secret uranium enrichment plant in Iran.

The President is believed to have angered the European leaders by insisting on delaying a joint press conference until after he had chaired a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Mr Obama is said to have been worried the announcement would undermine the impact of his session on nuclear non-proliferation.

and this

ANALYSIS-Disappointed Sarkozy shifts gaze from Washington

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, initially dubbed Sarko the American for his pro-U.S. stance, is finding it much tougher to deal with Washington than he had anticipated and is recalibrating his policies accordingly.

Stung by perceived snubs from U.S. President Barack Obama and encouraged by the growing importance of the G20, Sarkozy is increasingly reaching out to non-aligned states in an effort to extend France's international influence. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/reuters/...-ANALYSIS.html

And an unrelated matter:

Japan

Worried about a new direction in Japan's foreign policy, the Obama administration warned the Tokyo government Wednesday of serious consequences if it reneges on a military realignment plan formulated to deal with a rising China.

The comments from Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates underscored increasing concern among U.S. officials as Japan moves to redefine its alliance with the United States and its place in Asia. In August, the opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) won an overwhelming victory in elections, ending more than 50 years of one-party rule.

For a U.S. administration burdened with challenges in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea and China, troubles with its closest ally in Asia constitute a new complication. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...102100746.html

Swine Flu Emergency

Swine Flu Emergency

Obama declares swine flu a national emergency

According to Yahoo New

President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients.

The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government's initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.

Or not??

This is Interesting.....

Do You Think H1N1 Is a National Emergency?

President Obama declared a national emergency Friday related to the outbreak of H1N1 flu, allowing health officials greater leeway under federal regulations to respond to the virus. The virus has claimed the lives of 1,000 Americans, but it isn't clear yet whether the outbreak will be any worse than the annual outbreak of seasonal flu.

Pay Czar Feinberg to Slash Executive Pay

Pay Czar Feinberg, Not Obama, Behind Decision to Slash Executive Pay
White House pay czar Kenneth Feinberg did not seek President Obama's approval to order steep pay cuts from bailed-out executives.
White House pay czar Kenneth Feinberg was the driving force behind the move to order steep pay cuts from bailed-out executives, and did not even seek the president's approval before making his decision.

The Treasury Department is expected to formally announce in the next few days a plan to slash annual salaries by about 90 percent from last year for the 25 highest-paid executives at the seven companies that received the most from the Wall Street bailout. Total compensation for the top executives at the firms would decline, on average, by about 50 percent.

The sweeping decision, though, came from Feinberg and not from President Obama.

One official told Fox News that Feinberg from the start had the independent authority to work with companies and make such a call. Obama was never required to sign off before final decisions were made.

uhhh... Question? Do all the 30-odd czars have such power? I thought I heard, when this mess started, that the czars would serve in an advisory only. If this is true, then the czar trumps the congress, the Constitution, and the will of the people...

I am speechless.... Twice... And those whe know me know what I mean.

You can read all about it on Fox New.

APR 79%?

"Pre-approved credit card with 79.9% APR?"
"For Gordon Hageman of San Diego, the Premier card offered by First Premier Bank came with a 79.9 percent APR. While it looks like an attempt to gouge the consumer, it is perfectly legal.
Wine distributor Gordon Hageman thought "it was a mistake" reports NBC San Diego. It was no mistake. The credit card offer from First Premier Bank, based in South Dakota, was for a pre-approved Premier card with a 79.9 percent APR. Hageman told NBC San Diego:

"My first thought, it was a mistake."

The pre-approved offer didn't mention the actual interest rate on the card. I think they're trying to take advantage of me. NBC San Diego reports that First Premier Bank's website says it "focuses on individuals who have less than perfect credit but are actually still creditworthy."

First Premier's site also indicates that it is the 10th largest issuer of Visa and MasterCard credit cards. Hageman acknowledged that his credit is not perfect, but about average.

Michael Belch, marketing professor at San Diego State Univeristy, suggested that the card is a bad deal aimed at people who are desperate. He was quoted as saying: I think you're beginning to border on deception there. They're just finding different ways to gouge the consumer.

Unfortunately, the case is beyond the jurisdiction of the California Attorney General's office because the cards are issued out of state. According to American Banking News: Although the interest rate that First Premier Bankcard offered Hageman is extraordinarily high, it's perfectly legal. Credit card interest rates are regulated on a state-by-state basis and South Dakota removed the ceiling on the interest rates that credit card companies can charge in hopes of attracting national banks to the state."

Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?

This may be important!

Spain's Zapatero: "I am obsessed with Obama"..we all have to help him

There is a lot of this story that is untold, and a lot of this story that is yet to be told.... President Obama seems to be courting the UN, The Alliance of Civilizations, and Arab leaders, and alienating Israel.

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1121965.html

"Netanyahu: Israel and U.S. have resolved settlements row

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero last Thursday that talks between Israel and the United States over construction in the settlements on the West Bank had ended.

"We solved the matter of the settlements with the Americans," Netanyahu told his Spanish counterpart.

"I cannot say more than that. If you are interested in hearing more details, ask in Washington," added Netanyahu.

.........this is the first time that Netanyahu has said that the issue of the settlements, which is the main bone of contention between the Obama administration and Israel, has been solved.

Zapatero told Netanyahu of his visit to the White House two days before his arrival in Jerusalem. He said he was obsessed with Obama, and that there will never be another chance where a man who professes values such as his will be president, and everyone must help him realize his vision.

Spain will assume the EU presidency on January 1."

The Alliance of Civilizations (AoC) initiative was proposed by the President of the Spanish Government, Jos Luis Rodríguez Zapatero at the 59th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in 2005. It was co-sponsored by the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Its ironic that the same day Assad in Syria calls for EU to step-up pressure on the Peace Talks it comes out in the news that he's moved 25% of his long range missiles to Lebanon.
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1255547723103
That really tells us how he thinks the peace talks are going to go.

Isaiah 17 looks closer to fulfillment all the time. I won't be planning to vacation in Damascus or along the eastern shores of the Dead Sea this year.

Isaiah 17
1The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

2The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

3The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

4And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

5And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.

6Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.

7At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

Obama heads to Texas to talk volunteerism

Hard on the heels of the circle fly article comes news that President Obama is headed for Texas again!

"Obama heads to Texas to talk volunteerism
By Dave Montgomery
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram

AUSTIN -- President Barack Obama will return to Texas today for the first time since taking office nine months ago, sharing the stage with former President George H.W. Bush in a forum designed to "engage the nation" in a renewed conversation on volunteerism."
The 4 p.m. event at Texas A&M University in College Station, the home of Bush's presidential library, will pay tribute to the former president's 20-year-old Points of Light initiative as well as Obama's United We Serve campaign to perpetuate and expand community service.

Well, thump my head with a shovel. So THAT'S where all the jobs the govurment is creating are! Plenty of jobs and no pay. I reckon they took a pages from my former employer's play book. They pretended to pay me a living wage, and I pretended to work....

A COWBOY FROM TEXAS

A cowboy from Texas attends a social function where Barack Obama is trying to gather support for his Health Plan. Once he discovers the cowboy is from President Bushs' home area, he starts to belittle him by talking in a southern drawl and single syllable words.

As he was doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head. The cowboy says, "Y'all havin' some problem with them circle flies?"

Obama stopped talking and said, "Well, yes, if that's what they're called, but I've never heard of circle flies."

"Well, sir," the cowboy replies, "Circle flies hang around ranches. They're called circle flies because they're almost always found circling around the back end of a horse.."

"Oh," Obama replies as he goes back to rambling. But, a moment later he stops and bluntly asks, "Are you calling me a horse's ass?"

"No, sir," the cowboy replies, "I have too much respect for the citizens of this country to call their president a horse's ass."

"That's a good thing," Obama responds and begins rambling on once more.

After a long pause, the cowboy, in his best Texas

drawl says, "Hard to fool them flies, though.

After snubbing Israel, Turkey to hold defense drills with Syria

Syria said on Tuesday it would hold military exercises with Turkey, shortly after Turkey canceled maneuvers with Israel. Ankara's decision, which was commended by Syria, revived fears of cooler relations between Israel and NATO member Turkey. "We held our first joint land military exercise (with Turkey) last spring. And today we have agreed to do a more comprehensive, a bigger one," said Syrian Defense Minister Ali Habib, speaking at a news conference.

Turkey, a secular Muslim country, has been a key ally of Israel, but ties have been strained over Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan's harsh criticism of Israel's three-week offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip in December and January. Both Turkey and Israel on Monday denied the cancellation of air force exercises scheduled for this week posed any threat to their long-standing bilateral ties and strategic interests.

'Iran pays, Syria smuggles, and Hezbollah receives weapons'

'Iran pays, Syria smuggles, and Hezbollah receives weapons'
By Amos Harel and Avi Issacharoff

The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday released photographs taken by drone aircraft of the southern Lebanon village where a Hezbollah arms depot exploded on Monday. The photos show persons, possibly Hezbollah operatives, removing something resembling a 4-meter-long missile from the depot, loading it onto a truck and moving it to a hiding place in a different village. A senior military source said on Tuesday that Syria has made a clear strategic decision to make available to Hezbollah every type of military hardware in its arsenal. According to the same source, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon is wary of entering Shi'ite villages in the area and generally avoids trying to enforce UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which forbids Hezbollah from having any arms inside the villages south of the Litani River.

The initial reports of the incident on Monday spoke of an explosion at the home of a Hezbollah operative in the village of Tayr Filsi, east of Tyre, in which five persons were killed. However, Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army maintain that only a single person was injured in the blast, and claim that the explosion occurred during an attempt to deal with unexploded Israeli ordnance. The senior IDF source said that weapons are now being smuggled from Syria into Lebanon on a regular, weekly basis. "Iran pays, Syria smuggles and Hezbollah receives," he explained. According to the officer Hezbollah has tens of thousands of rockets, many of which are kept in about 300 storage facilities spread throughout the 160 or so Shi'ite villages in southern Lebanon.

Israel seals deal with the Czech Republic

I find this very interesting in light of the fact that the Czech Republic is the only nation blocking Lisbon at this point:

Israel Seals Military Deal with Czech Republic

by Hana Levi Julian
Excerpt:

(IsraelNN.com) Israel has sealed a military sales deal with the Czech Republic, it was announced Tuesday.

Czech Defense Minister Martin Bartak told the CTK news agency the nation's military will purchase pilotless reconnaissance planes and anti-terrorism computer technologies from the Jewish State.

The announcement of the deal, worth CZK 20 million ($1.14 million) came following talks on Tuesday with Defense Minister Ehud Barak. At the beginning of September, the two ministers signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Czech and Israeli defense forces.

The Nobel Appeasement Prize

I was not going to say anything about this, but I just can't help it. I am embarrassed beyond tears by some of the things this man says, and ashamed for our country because of some of things he does.

The Nobel Appeasement Prize

by Bill Wilson

And the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize goes to - drum roll please - the man who
occupies the Oval Office. Yes, you read me right, OOO has won the Nobel Peace
Prize. April Fools' Day has come six months early for some, six months late for
others. The Nobel prize is now officially on the list of grand political jokes.
They say he won it because of reaching out to the Muslim world, banning
interrogation techniques that might be considered torture, promoting peace by
bringing a new global monetary policy to the nations, and deciding not to deploy
missiles in Europe. He also has made a public commitment to end the wars in
Afghanistan and Iraq.

But Americans may find OOO's actions far less peace oriented. Perhaps a new name
for the Nobel prize is in order - the Nobel Appeasement Prize. If this were the
case, OOO would win hands down in a way that would engender an all-knowing smile
from Neville Chamberlain emanating from his eternal post in the depths of the
pit of Hades.

Appeasing the Muslim world with a landmark speech in Cairo to a bulk group of
terrorists and terrorist sympathizers; extending the olive branch to the world's
foremost sponsor of terrorism in Iran; threatening the peace loving state of
Israel that its American ally's efforts against Iranian nuclear proliferation is
tied directly to Israel's acceptance of a Palestinian terrorist state; releasing
terrorists into society by closing the terrorist prison in Cuba; restoring
diplomatic relations with the second foremost sponsor of terrorism, Syria;
scuttling a planned defensive missile program in Poland and the Czech Republic
that was designed to defend against a future terrorist missile launch from Iran;
Ignoring a general's advice by understaffing the military in Afghanistan while
brave American soldiers are dying in increasing attacks by terrorists; yielding
the sovereignty of the American economy to the International Monetary Fund;
supporting a dictator for life wannabe in Honduras over its Constitutional
Republic; banning mission critical terrorist identification and tracking
techniques...

As an American, I do not feel too peaceful about the actions of this
administration. Sources I have interviewed who are involved or were involved in
national security say that the Islamic terrorist network is emboldened by the
actions of this White House and that, by banning some very critical terrorist
monitoring practices, it is now not a question of "if" a terrorist strike will
occur on American soil, but "when."

The question of King David should be welling up in every American's heart from
Psalm 94:16,

"Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me
against the workers of iniquity?"

Appeasement is not peace. And only fools believe peace is about giving in or
siding with evil.

Russia:Ready for war?

Russia:Ready for war?

While President Obama basked in the glow his Nobel Peace Prize, Russia is getting ready to blow somebody out of the water.

Make no mistake Mister President, this ain't no kiddy pool, and those pink plooms you see in the distances ain't cotton candy.

Russia and the EU are getting ready to heat up the north pole over gas rights, Israel says that if you and partners don't do something about Iran by Christmas, she is going to bust some bunkers. Nine months of accolads not-withstanding, you better do something. And quick!

Russia's revised military doctrine could trigger the use of nuclear weapons or preventive strikes against potential foes, the secretary of Russia's Security Council said on Thursday.

" Russia may prioritize the development of nuclear-powered attack submarines armed with nuclear-capable cruise missiles in the future, while maintaining its
fleet of strategic subs, a senior Navy official said."

The Russian Navy has about 60 submarines, including 10 nuclear-powered strategic
submarines, over 30 nuclear-powered attack submarines, diesel-electric submarines and special-purpose subs.

A new Severodvinsk nuclear-powered attack submarine will be commissioned with
the Navy in 2010-2011. It has the ability to launch a variety of long-range cruise missiles (up to 3,100 miles) with nuclear warheads.

Russia will continue to maintain and upgrade its fleet of strategic submarines.carrying ballistic missiles. They will build at least six Borey-class strategic submarines to serve in the Northern and the Pacific
fleets. The first Borey-class submarine, the Yury Dolgoruky and is undergoing
trials. It will carry up to 16 Bulava-M sea-based ballistic missiles.
The Bulava missile has a reported maximum range of about 6,200 miles and capacity for up to six individually targeted nuclear warheads. It is a key future component of Russia's nuclear A series of test is being conducted this year.

The Russian Defense Ministry said two Russian nuclear-powered strategic submarines have test-launched intercontinental ballistic missiles with a range
of 8,000 km and carrying from one to seven nuclear warheads. Each sub carries
16 missiles. The RSM-50 has a range of up to 8,000 km and the capacity to carry
from one to seven nuclear warheads.

Dave Macherson

I have paid scant attention to Dave Macherson because I have no interest in that type of writing. However, there are some authors on his “hit list” that I consider honest and forthright. When I have a question I try to go the Bible for the answer, and if that does not do it, to a trusted source. Dave Macherson is not on my trusted source list.

The third time Jesus came to the disciples after he had risen from the dead he had some important instructions for them, and for all teachers. Feed my sheep.

Jhn 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
Jhn 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Jhn 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Feed them on the Word, and not some personal agenda.

Worldly knowledge and heavenly knowledge are not the same, and even the wises of us are babes in arm when it comes to heavenly knowledge. I think that was Jesus was trying to convey in:

Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw [it], he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

And like all children, we misunderstand, misinterpret, or just plain “don't get it”. So I cut people, even teachers, a little slack if they don't get it the first time around. And some of us, if we are rebellious, don't get it at all.

God bless you.

Compound in extra-virgin olive oil help prevent, treat Alzheimer's

Compound in extra-virgin olive oil help prevent, treat Alzheimer's

Here's a little something that will make those of us who are long-in-the-tooth perk up.

Quote:
PHILADELPHIA (September 29, 2009) -- Oleocanthal, a naturally-occurring compound found in extra-virgin olive oil, alters the structure of neurotoxic proteins believed to contribute to the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's disease. This structural change impedes the proteins' ability to damage brain nerve cells.

Known as ADDLs, these highly toxic proteins bind within the neural synapses of the brains of Alzheimer's patients and are believed to directly disrupt nerve cell function, eventually leading to memory loss, cell death, and global disruption of brain function.

"Binding of ADDLs to nerve cell synapses is thought to be a crucial first step in the initiation of Alzheimer's disease. Oleocanthal alters ADDL structure in a way that deters their binding to synapses," said William L. Klein, PhD, who co-led the research with Breslin. "

Kashmir girl fights off militants

Here is an uplifting tale from Kashmir. If more people would try this, the armed gangs in the neighbourhood would be looking for a another line of work!

BBC NEWS

Kashmir girl fights off militants
A teenage girl says she killed a militant with his own gun after insurgents attacked their home in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Three militants stormed into Rukhsana Kauser's home in a remote village in Jammu region on Monday and started beating her parents in front of her, while four more waited outside. One of the militants wanted to marry Ms Kauser against her will, police said. Ms Kauser, 18, and her brother turned on the gunmen, killing one and injuring two more.

“ I had never touched a rifle before this, let alone fired one - but I had seen heroes firing in films ”, said Rukhsana Kauser "My parents told me to hide under the bed and then opened the door." "Without saying anything they [the militants] started beating my parents and my uncle. They beat them so badly that my parents fell on the ground. I could not see that, and pounced on one of the militants while my brother hit him with an axe," she said. "I thought I should try the bold act of encountering militants before dying."

Ms Kauser said she grabbed one of the militants by the hair and banged his head against the wall. When he fell down she hit him with an axe, before snatching his rifle. "I fired endlessly. The militant commander got 12 shots on his body."
Her brother, Eijaz, 19, grabbed one of the other militants' guns and also began shooting, and a four hour gun battle ensued.

The militants escaped and are now being sought by police who are using their blood trails as clues.

India raises nuclear stakes

India raises nuclear stakes

Quote: India can now build nuclear weapons with the same destructive power as those in the arsenals of the world’s major nuclear powers, according to New Delhi’s senior atomic officials.

They said India had built weapons with yields of up to 200 kilotons, which would be considered a “proper strategic deterrent” by the global community. A nuclear weapon above 50 kilotons is considered high yield. India’s enhanced capability gives it a considerable edge over Pakistan, its nuclear-armed arch-rival.

In my humble opinion we are not paying nearly enough attention to the nuclear threat to the world from India and Pakistan. They hate each other with a passion and both have enough nuclear weapons to cause nuclear winter if they start lobbing their nukes at each other. If the Taliban is victorious in Pakistan, India would, most likely, launch a pre-emptive strike. The Taliban threat draws closer every day.

Mr. Obama has revealed he is a paper tiger, not willing or able to help either India or Israel.

Wars and rumours of war... Just like the Bible says.

Obama: U.S. Does Not Recognise 'Legitimacy of Continued Israeli Settlements' Obama's stark declaration, which drew applause, was coupled with a call for Palestinians to end their "incitement of Israel."
FOXNews.com
Wednesday, September 23, 2009

But it was the use of the U.N. forum to carry the settlement message to Israel that drew the most enthusiastic response on the floor -- and incredulous reaction outside its walls.

Obama just put Israel "on the chopping block," said former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton.

This does bode well for Israel or the USA. I have long thought that the UN had an anti-Israel and pro_Palestinian attitude and now it seems that Mr. Obama is biased as well.

In his first speech to the world body, Obama applied his campaign slogan to the international community and challenged the global community to step up and fix the world's problems both at home and abroad.
"The people of the world want change," he said, noting that "just as no nation should be forced to accept the tyranny of another nation, no individual should be forced to accept the tyranny of their own government."

Well, talk is cheap, Mr. President, but it's actions that count, and, so far, I don't approve of your actions on this, and many other issues.

A Aftermath Czar?

While we, in the USA, are preoccupied by President Obama's health care bomb and the Acorn circus, Iran is make an atomic bomb that may be more lethal to us than even President Obama's advisers fear. I suggest he appoint an aftermath czar, if he has not got one already. The chances are he will need one sooner rather than later.

AP NewsBreak reports
VIENNA (AP) -
Experts at the world's top atomic watchdog are in agreement that Tehran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is on the way to developing a missile system able to carry an atomic warhead, according to a secret report seen by The Associated Press.

The document drafted by senior officials at the International Atomic Energy Agency is the clearest indication yet that the agency's leaders share Washington's views on Iran's weapon-making capabilities.
It appears to be the so-called "secret annex" on Iran's nuclear program that Washington says is being withheld by the IAEA's chief.

The document says Iran has "sufficient information" to build a bomb. It says Iran is likely to "overcome problems" on developing a delivery system."

The recent rocket tests Iran conducted were not total failures if they advanced their knowledge of long range guidance systems, as some believe. And Israel is almost out of options.

The JERUSALEM POST says:
Quote:
"srael will be compelled to attack Iran's nuclear facilities if Western powers do not impose serious sanctions against Teheran by the end of 2009, former deputy defence minister Ephraim Sneh said on Wednesday."

"We cannot live under the shadow of an Iran with nuclear weapons," he was quoted as telling Reuters in an interview on a visit to the UK. "By the end of the year, if there is no agreement on crippling sanctions aimed at this regime, we will have no choice."

Meanwhile, President Obama continues to push Israel into wars, or so says Wall Street Journal editorial writer Bret Stephens. It's a a sobering and must-read column Tue Sep 15.

“Events are fast pushing Israel toward a pre-emptive military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, probably by next spring. That strike could well fail. Or it could succeed at the price of oil at $300 a barrel, a Middle East war, and American servicemen caught in between. So why is the Obama administration doing everything it can to speed the war process along?..."
Well... this was in Washington Times
"Exclamation U.S. envoys hesitate to report bad news to Washington'
"Policymakers get tilted data"
Quote:
"U.S. embassies are discouraging or suppressing negative reports to Washington about U.S. allies, sometimes depriving officials of information they need to make good policy decisions, current and former diplomats say.''
And Fox News is reporting:
"Israelis, Palestinians Present Peace Blueprint (Divided Jerusalem)"
Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Quote:
"TEL AVIV, Israel — Jerusalem divided by a series of fences, trenches and walls. The West Bank and Gaza linked by a sunken highway. Palestinians and Israelis trading land that would require 100,000 Jewish settlers to move."

Things are moving quickly now, apparently of their own volition. But, no worries, God is still in control.

Tripartite US-Israeli-Palestinian summit

Tripartite US-Israeli-Palestinian summit

Israelnationalnews.com is reporting that
The Obama administration decided on Wednesday to schedule a tripartite US-Israeli-Palestinian summit at the U.N. center in New York for September 22, the day before U.S. President Barak Obama meets Russian president Dmitry Medvedev at the UN General Assembly, according to a DEBKAfile report. The three leaders will declare the resumption of Middle East peace talks. The summit’s date will require Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman to be present and away from Israel during Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year’s), the report noted.

In view of the strained relationship between the US and Israel and President Obama's apparent predilection for the Palestinian view, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be out numbered and out gunned. He won't be, however, out of options. His recent unexplained fourteen hour 'trip', amid rumors that he was in secret meetings with the Russians on a clandestine attack on Iran's nuclear, proves that he can still out fox the hounds.

But President Obama's appointment to head the United Nations Security Council, (UNSC) one of the principal organs of the United Nations does not bode well for Israel. The UNSC is charged with the maintenance of international peace and security. Like the UN, it is impotent, irrelevant, and too weak to make a difference in the grand scheme of things. But that could change in the stroke of a pen.

The Western European Union is a 10-nation alliance which, as some reports indicate, is a sleeping giant, with the military that the UN lacks. What does the future hold for the WEU 10-nation alliance, and the UN? The UN and the WEU have a long history of cooperation, and a skilled orator could use that to his advantage, to build a military force to match his silver tongue.

It looks like things are coming together for big bang. Stay tuned...

Judge orders trial on eligibility issue

Arguments planned Jan. 11 for major Obama challenge

A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama's eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue.

...The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief."...

This is according to WND. I am going to let this go without, and lets you making up your own mind about it. But, what if....

Here be Czars!

Here be Czars!

That tag line is an obvious take of the novel “Here be Dragons” by Sharon Kay Penman. Here Be Dragons (1985) is the first of Penman's trilogy of novels about the medieval princes of Gwynedd. One of her most popular novels, about which Penman states, “I think Dragons is so popular because it was virgin territory for most readers."

And the world of czars will be virgin territory for most readers, too.

The White House does not really like the name czar, maybe because it has its roots in the Russian word Tzar

The word Potentate comes to mind.

All right.

Arbiter, aristocrat, big cheese, big shot, big wig, boss, brains, brass, buff*, city hall, connoisseur, egghead, establishment*, exec, executive, expert, feds, front office, governor, guru, White House, judge, kingfish, kingpin, law*, power elite, pro, professional, professor, pundit, scholar, specialist, textbook, top brass, top dog, top hand, upstairs, veteran, virtuoso, whiz, wizard.

But a skunk by any other name would smell...?!?

That line's taken too. But you get the drift.

President Obama is not the only one to appoint these Potentates.
Franklin Roosevelt appointed 10 during 1933-1945. Harry Truman appointed 6 during 1945-1953. Lyndon B. Johnson 2, Richard Nixon 2, Gerald Ford 2 Jimmy Carter 2 Ronald Reagan 1 George H. W. Bush 2 Bill Clinton 1993-2001 5

George W. Bush 26

Barack Obama 31 and counting....

A man can be judged by the company he keep and the people he hires, whether they be called potentates, boss, guru, or top dog.. I don't think most of them have your best interest at heart. He hired, but we've got to fired them.

Here's the list. Check them out yourself.

Not Impressed, Says Supreme Leader of Iran:

This is one of the fellows that Mr. Obama is trying to appease with his feel-good policies and cow-towing to their brand of logic. Sorry, Mr President, good looks and smooth talking work this time.

washingtonpost.com:

Supreme Leader of Iran: Muslim Nations 'Hate America'

Thomas Erdbrink and William Branigin Washington Post Foreign Service Thursday, June 4, 2009 4:51 PM

TEHRAN, June 4 -- Iran's supreme leader dismissed President Obama's speech at Cairo University Thursday, saying the Muslim world continues to "hate America." And he criticized the United States and its allies for asserting that Iran seeks nuclear weapons, which he insisted are forbidden under Iran's brand of Islam.

Speaking shortly before Obama delivered his address, in which he called for a "new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that "beautiful speeches" could not remove the hatred felt in the Muslim world against America...

...Alluding to Obama's new approach in foreign affairs, he said that the previous administration of President George W. Bush had left an "ill-mannered image" of itself in the world.

"The new U.S. government seeks to transform this image," Khamenei said. "I say firmly that this will not be achieved by talking, speech and slogans." He added, "Even if [Obama] delivers hundreds of speeches and talks very sweetly, there will not be a change in how the Islamic countries perceive the United States." He called on Obama to deliver change "in practice."

Khamenei also denounced Israel as a "cancerous tumor in the heart" of the Islamic world, and he accused the U.S. military of "bombing innocent civilians" in Afghanistan. "What is the difference between this killing and killing by terrorists?" he asked rhetorically....

I think Mr Obama has exhibited a “hardening of the attitudes” toward Israel and a soft spot toward Islam. That's not a good thing. Israel is still “the apple of God's eye”, Jesus is still the only way to salvation, and God is still in charge.

Cycle of Suspicion and Discord

Cycle of Suspicion and Discord

According to the BBC,
President Barack Obama has said the "cycle of suspicion and discord" between the United States and the Muslim world must end.

In a keynote speech in Cairo, Mr Obama called for a "new beginning" in ties, and he invited Hamas -- a designated terror organization -- to "play a role" in the future of the Palestinian people.
"Hamas does have support among some Palestinians, but they also have to recognize they have responsibilities. To play a role in fulfilling Palestinian aspirations, to unify the Palestinian people, Hamas must put an end to violence, recognize past agreements, recognize Israel's right to exist,"
Obama said.

The U.S. president bluntly recognized the group, which has called for the destruction of Israel, in a two-sentence passage that was part of a broader discussion about the terms for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

"Hamas does have support among some Palestinians, but they also have to recognize they have responsibilities. To play a role in fulfilling Palestinian aspirations, to unify the Palestinian people, Hamas must put an end to violence, recognize past agreements, recognize Israel's right to exist,"
Obama said.

Mr Obama said the US bond with Israel was unbreakable but described the Palestinians' plight as "intolerable".

The president made a number of references to the Koran and called on all faiths to live together in peace.

He received a standing ovation at the end of his speech at Cairo University.

I don't trust Mr. Obaba to represent my best interests his skill at reading a tele-promter, notwithstanding. There is more to this story than meets the eye.

No more drunk Chinese hookers!

No more drunk Chinese hookers! Thank goodness!

When I first saw the topic heading on the Rapture Forums (http://www.raptureforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25045) I thought that we the people had finely got a clue of what the politos on Capital Hill are doing and put a stop to it. But that's not true.

According to CNSNews.com --
“The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAA), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), will pay $2.6 million in U.S. tax dollars to train Chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly on the job.

Dr. Xiaoming Li, the researcher conducting the program, is director of the Prevention Research Center at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.

The grant, made last November, refers to prostitutes as "female sex workers"--or FSW--and their handlers as "gatekeepers."

WKUHilltopper of Raptureforum sums it up nicely when he says
“Our government is so corrupt and morally bankrupt. Nice of them to pitch our money out into the streets for such garbage.”

Lest you think that this type of use of we the people's money is limited to the current cadre of politicos, this grant was given last November under the previous cadre.

And there is more. This is a blurb from the NLH web site.

“Grant Funding Opportunities NIH Recovery Web Site

Supported by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) ....

Summer Experiences for Students and Teachers!

The recent ARRA legislation provides an unprecedented level of funding ($8.2 billion in extramural funding) to the NIH to help stimulate the US economy through the support and advancement of scientific research. While NIH Institutes and Centers have broad flexibility to invest in many types of grant programs, they will follow the spirit of the ARRA by funding projects that will stimulate the economy, create or retain jobs, and have the potential for making scientific progress in 2 years.”

The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) “recovers” money from “we the people” though taxes, borrowing, and the printing press, and reinvests in programs of duvious value to most of we the people.

The Rough House Writer thinks that we the people should keep their money in their jeans, and let the professors find their own stimulus plan.

Tequila and Salt

This should probably be taped to yourbathroom mirror where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's true.

There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
You mean the world to someone.
You are special and unique.
Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
Good friends are like stars........ You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here than a whole truck load when I'm gone.

Failures keeps You Humble
Success keeps You Glowing
But Only God keeps You Going

The Taliban's Atomic Threat

The Taliban's Atomic Threat

Well... Eight years of playing footsie and 11 billion dollars, and this is what we get?

The Wall Street Journal said this.

At his press conference Wednesday evening, President Barack Obama endorsed Pakistan's official position that it has secure control over its nuclear-weapons arsenal. Mr. Obama said he was "gravely concerned" about the situation there, but "confident that the nuclear arsenal will remain out of militant hands."

This may be one of the biggest stories in that region. If the Taliban gain control of the nuke facilities, it could get very interesting. And quick! But over on the major news channels.... Listen... All I hear are crickets... it's mind boggling

There are several nuclear powers we need to be worried about including North Korea, Russia, and China.

But letting Iran and the taliban get their hands on nuclear weapons could have serious consequences for the United States. Both Iran and North Korea have fired missiles that they claim were failures but detonated in the same manner and at the same altitude that would be necessary to deliver an EMP weapon to the skies over America from any one of our three coasts; west, east, or gulf using as medium range missile launched from a ship.

The New York Times says this:

“The U.S. government has not yet engaged the most senior officials of the Pakistani government on the issue, but may begin this week as President Obama meets at the White House with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday.”

But... No worrys! Madam Secretary Clinton is on the job.

Right-wing extremists?

Are you a "right-wing extremists"

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a report classifying every one who disagrees with the administration on just about every major issue as a potential "right-wing extremists".

It cites people concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report is titled, “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,“ It's dated 7 April.

Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano says she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

But she says "a number of groups far too numerous to mention" were targeting returning veterans to carry out domestic terrorism attacks.

She said the warning report that went out American law enforcement agencies was consistent with reports that were issued before.

Napolitano spoke on CNN's "State of the Union."

Two things: First, she "regrets that some people took offense." Isn't that a cop out? I'm sorry you were upset, but not sorry for upsetting you.

Second, and much more interesting, is that she claims that so many groups have attempted to recruit veterans to carry out domestic terrorist attacks that there are too many to mention? Have I been under a rock these years? I have yet to hear of a single report of any domestic terrorist brightest organization attempting to recruit a veteran. Is she just making this stuff up now?

And this from CNN on the Tea Parties:

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested the "Tea Party" movement is an "unhealthy" reaction to the tough economic climate facing the country.

Axelrod was asked on CBS's "Face the Nation" about the "spreading and very public disaffection" with the president's fiscal policies seen at the "Tea Party" rallies around the country last week.

"I think any time you have severe economic conditions there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that's unhealthy," Axelrod said.

Axelrod appeared to backtrack when pressed on whether the movement is unhealthy.

"Well, this is a country where we value our liberties and our ability to express ourselves, and so far these are expressions," he said.

"The thing that bewilders me is that this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people," Axelrod argued. "I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the burden that people face."

Well... The thing that bewilders me is that the supposed best and brightest have got a clue!

FBI spied on TEA Party Americans:

Northeast Intelligence Network has a very informative, and chilling article at http://homelandsecurityus.com/?p=2659

“The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to ‘flag waving right-wingers’ is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.”

It's starting out to be a very interesting year!
