The Taliban's Atomic Threat

The Taliban's Atomic Threat

Well... Eight years of playing footsie and 11 billion dollars, and this is what we get?

The Wall Street Journal said this.

At his press conference Wednesday evening, President Barack Obama endorsed Pakistan's official position that it has secure control over its nuclear-weapons arsenal. Mr. Obama said he was "gravely concerned" about the situation there, but "confident that the nuclear arsenal will remain out of militant hands."

This may be one of the biggest stories in that region. If the Taliban gain control of the nuke facilities, it could get very interesting. And quick! But over on the major news channels.... Listen... All I hear are crickets... it's mind boggling

There are several nuclear powers we need to be worried about including North Korea, Russia, and China.

But letting Iran and the taliban get their hands on nuclear weapons could have serious consequences for the United States. Both Iran and North Korea have fired missiles that they claim were failures but detonated in the same manner and at the same altitude that would be necessary to deliver an EMP weapon to the skies over America from any one of our three coasts; west, east, or gulf using as medium range missile launched from a ship.

The New York Times says this:

“The U.S. government has not yet engaged the most senior officials of the Pakistani government on the issue, but may begin this week as President Obama meets at the White House with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday.”

But... No worrys! Madam Secretary Clinton is on the job.
